Houssein Miloudi began drawing at the age of 5. Between the ages of 14 and 16, he painted pictures inspired by Moroccan amulets and rural art. His first solo
1968, in Marrakech, at the age of 17. After completing his art studies, he settled in his native Essaouira.

Azzouz Tnifass describes the artist as follows: “Miloudi is definitely one of our greatest painters. He's up there with the best, including Gharbaoui and Cherkaoui. From now on, we must consider him as such, despite his apparent shyness which makes him shun the media while protecting him in his studio overlooking the ocean. He has succeeded, all by himself, in giving appearances to our mysteries, and this will go down in the history of our culture. Moreover, poets, sensitive to the sublime, all like to frequent him.”

Miloudi's works have been included in several prestigious collections, including the Royal Palace (Spain), as well as various Moroccan institutions and banks. His works are also part of the collection of Merill C. Berman (USA) and the City of Kyoto (Japan). Fax Against Nuclear Testing is part of the History Archive at the International Institute of Social Law and History (Netherlands). Miloudi was awarded the Ouissam Royal Al Kafaâ al fikri by His Majesty King Mohammed VI. He is also listed in the 3rd edition of Who's who in Graphic Art, Zurich (Switzerland).

Houssein Miloudi died in 2022 in Rabat.
